Established at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ in 1990, the Office of Multicultural Affairs advocates for the promotion of a culturally diverse and nondiscriminatory campus community, preparing students for pursuit of lifelong learning. We are open to assist all students regardless of race, gender, color, age, religion, disability, sexual orientation, and national or ethnic origin. We have a unique role in enhancing the overall quality of life for students of color on campus by focusing on retention, programming, leadership development, diversity education, and assisting with recruitment.
We are available to the campus community as a resource for crisis intervention. Also, we are responsible for developing and implementing formal and informal programs and services to educate the campus community regarding issues of diversity. As an integral part of the mission of ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½, we strive to foster an environment conducive to teaching and learning, which supports and nurtures its students, faculty, and staff. Intellectual development and openness to a range of ideas and human possibilities are at the forefront of our mission to promote a culturally diverse campus.

Safe Zones Program
Safe Zones serve as a source of support and information, free of judgment and hostility. They display the Safe Zone logo to indicate that they have completed Safe Zone training and have signed a contract expressing their commitment to Safe Zone policies and procedures.
Multicultural Vision Program: Peer Mentoring for Success (MVP)
MVP pairs incoming students of color with returning students of color to assist in their acclimation to a predominantly white campus. Mentors answer questions, connect students with campus resources, and assist in developing connections with faculty and staff and with their peers from diverse backgrounds.
