What benefits will I receive as a Day Scholar?
- Scholarship valued at full tuition, housing, and meal plan
- Eligibility to lead and participate in a program aimed at benefitting and supporting local children. All projects will have a Memphis focus and be consistent with the college's engagement efforts in the city. The joint projects in this program will be supported by the Day Foundation up $12,500 per year
- Opportunity to serve as an ambassador for Memphis and ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ by mentoring new Day Scholars and recruiting students from local high schools
- A four-year program of personal and professional development, reflection, and civic engagement
How do I qualify?
Requirements for Day Scholarship:
- Students must attend high school in the city of Memphis or in Shelby County
- Application for admission to ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ submitted by January 15
- Day Application due by February 3 by midnight.
- Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or CSS Profile submitted by January 15
- Minimum Test Score: ACT 28 or SAT 1310
- Minimum 3.75 weighted GPA
- Strong record of involvement in both the Memphis community and the school community

Complete theDay Scholarship Application online by February 3 by midnight.
You will need to access this application using your portal login. Your application portal login will be emailed to you within 24 hours of submitting your to ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½. You will not be able to view or complete this application until your Common Application has been submitted.
Funding for this program is provided by the Day Foundation.
*Please note that the Day Scholarship, as with all scholarships, may have to be reduced if you receive awards from outside sources that in combination exceed the cost of attendance.
